Mike Horn and his contributions to the success of Indian cricket, KKR and German football!

Horn is a Laureus Award winning explorer and motivational speaker and he has played an integral part in the success of the teams mentioned above.

He first showed his capabilities as a speaker when back in 2010, Gary Kirsten, the then coach of the Indian cricket team, asked Horn to motivate his boys. Horn’s magic worked as MS Dhoni inspired his boys to a fantastic win in Kanpur and to retain their number 1 rankings. 

"The stories he told us were simply mind-boggling," said Harbhajan Singh, who was the match-winner in that Test.

Similarly, the Swiss explorer also inspired the Indian team to win their second World Cup in 2011 which made legend Sachin Tendulkar give a special mention to him after the famous victory.

"I would like to thank the support staff especially Mike Horn who joined us at the start of the tournament and was there for our last couple of games. He worked on the mental side and has helped us deal with the expectations and pressure," Tendulkar had said.

Horn helps South Africa reach numero uno in Tests

Horn later showed his magic with the South African cricket team after Kirsten, who was managing the Proteas this time, asked the adventurer for help and he didn't disappoint as the South Africans went on to beat England in England to become the new number 1 Test team.

Finally, after helping the Indian and South African cricket teams, he cast his magic on a depleted Kolkata Knight Riders team. 2013 was not happy times for the IPL unit as they had lost 10 out of 16, but Horn made sure that KKR looked a different team this year as Gautam Gambhir and his boys claimed their second IPL trophy.

KKR publicly thanked Horn for his efforts after they won the IPL this year.
